Europe 2031
Hadn’t heard about this one before, but this is something that I’ve been thinking about a lot lately. The US and China are building up their AI capabilities increasingly fast, but Europe just stands by and watches. It doesn’t seem like AI infrastructure is a topic in European political discussions, at least not something that I read about in my usual news outlets. We’re far behind in AI capabilities, and if it turns out that what we currently call “AI” really becomes AGI, Europe won’t be able to catch up and will be on the verge of becoming irrelevant, including all the European values we care so much about. I don’t want to see this future.
