Umbra

Umbra was a little experiment that I did using Claude Fable 5 to find out when and where I could see the next solar eclipse. I was surprised to see that the next solar eclipse in Gothenburg was less than a month away, so then I investigated some more with Claude and noticed that the sun will be very low when the actual eclipse happens (7°) which is likely why I haven’t heard about it earlier.

100% vibe-coded within a day, but a very fun project and just incredible to see what now can be achieved in a few hours of prompting compared to how much time projects like this used to take. The whole location-based eclipse calculations were pre-computed during built-time and run offline in your browser.
